For cafés

Breakfast till two, cake from three. Your website knows.

For cafés, bakery cafés and brunch spots: a website where the menu fits the time of day, today’s cakes are online by the morning and nobody has to call on Saturday to ask whether there’s still a table.

Sound familiar?

The menu is a Canva PDF. Nobody has touched the website in two years.

  • The PDF menu

Seventeen pages, unreadable on a phone without zooming, and every price change means: open the file, export, upload.

  • Cake only in your stories

What’s in the display case today is known only to your Instagram followers. Anyone searching Google finds your opening hours from 2023.

  • The phone rings on Saturday

Between the milk frother and the till: “Do you still have a table for four at eleven?”

  • Vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free?

Every table asks. The answer is somewhere in a footnote, if anywhere.

With tischlein

What changes for your café.

  • The breakfast menu follows the clock

Breakfast until 2 pm, then cake and snacks. Guests see what’s on right now first, and find everything vegan or gluten-free with one tap.

„Breakfast runs until 3 pm at weekends.“

  • Brunch as its own menu

The Sunday buffet with a price per person, a children’s price and everything that comes with it. Separate from the everyday menu, on the same website.

„Add a Sunday brunch menu: buffet €29 per person, children under six free.“

  • Cake of the day in one sentence

Tell the chat in the morning what’s in the display case. When a cake is gone, mark it as sold out.

„Today: plum tart and cheesecake, €4.20 each.“

  • Oat, soy, decaf

Set once for every coffee instead of on each drink. Sizes and extras such as an extra shot, too.

„All coffees are also available with oat or soy milk, +€0.50.“

  • The wishlist at the table

Guests collect dishes on their phone, share the list with their table and show it when ordering. Table QR stands come as a print template.

„Make me QR stands for tables 1 to 12.“

  • Weekend bookings

Guests request a table online, only for times when you’re open. When a time slot is full, the form asks them to call.

„Saturdays, no more than 30 guests between 9 and 12.“

The building blocks

What a café actually needs from tischlein.

Not a bundle of a hundred features. These five make the difference in a café’s day.

  • Menus

Breakfast, brunch and cake as a real web page instead of a PDF, with allergens in your own labelling, filters for guests and daily specials.

In practice

Three cafés in Konstanz are moving right now.

Heimathafen, Helga and Stadtkind are building their new websites with tischlein. They are still drafts, but the menus, pages and forms in them are real.

  • Heimathafen Café and brunch

A menu with allergen filters instead of a 17-page PDF. Plus landing pages for breakfast, brunch and vegan breakfast in Konstanz and an event venue page with occasions from business breakfasts to funeral receptions.

  • Helga Café bar in the old town

Breakfast all day and the allergen labelling Helga already used. On the menu, guests add dishes to their wishlist.

  • Stadtkind Café

Before: a single page with the address and opening hours. Now: its own website with contact details and directions, in German and English.

Questions from cafés

We hardly have time for this. How much work is it?

We set it up together with you, usually in one session. After that it’s single sentences in the chat whenever something changes, like the cake of the day or new prices.

Can guests order at the table?

Not yet. Guests can add dishes to a wishlist and show it to the server. Ordering at the table is on our list for later.

Our brunch is by booking only. Does that work?

Yes. You set how many guests can come per time slot. Once a slot is full, the form takes no more requests for it and asks guests to call.

We’re a small café with one location. Is it worth it?

Yes. You book only what you need: the menu on its own, the website with menu and requests, or Team for time tracking and shifts on top. Two or more products come with a discount.
