For pubs

Football tonight, quiz tomorrow. It’s all on there.

For corner pubs, cult pubs and sports bars, the German Kneipe in all its forms: anyone checking online sees right away what’s on tonight and how late you’re open. And you set it up without dealing with tech, in one sentence in the chat.

Sound familiar?

What’s on tonight is on the chalkboard. Online there’s nothing.

  • The fixture list on the door

Which match is on tonight is chalked up at the entrance. Anyone checking from home finds nothing.

  • The website from back then

A friend built it once. Nobody has the password any more, and the opening hours have been wrong for years.

  • Timesheets in a drawer

Temps, mini-jobbers, bar staff: their working hours must be recorded, and at the end of the month someone hunts down the slips.

  • No time for tech

Between changing kegs, cashing up and the regulars’ table, there’s exactly no time left for the website and social media.

With tischlein

What changes for your pub.

  • Matches and events as a calendar

Champions League, the derby, live music: every event has its own page and appears on the home page while it’s current.

„We’re showing the cup match on the big screen on Tuesday from 9 pm.“

  • The weekly schedule that repeats itself

Quiz on Wednesday, regulars on Friday: set up once, back every week. If a night is off, one sentence is enough.

„There’s no quiz on 24 December.“

  • Open or closed? It’s right at the top.

The website shows live whether you’re open, even when it goes on until 2 am. You add holidays and special hours in the chat.

„On Carnival Monday we open at 11 am.“

  • A short menu is enough

Draught beer, schnapps, toasties and pretzels. Even a short menu is a real web page, with allergens for the few dishes.

    „New on draught: Kellerbier, 0.5 l for €4.80.“

  • Clocking in by QR code

Your team clocks in with their phone at the QR code by the bar. Breaks and rest periods are checked, night and Sunday supplements calculated.

„Show me the hours of all temps in October.“

  • The rota in the chat

Next week like this one, just with one more person on Saturday. At the end of the month the export goes to your accountant, for DATEV or as CSV.

„Plan next week like this one, but one more behind the bar on Saturday.“

In practice

Destille: seven nights, seven pages.

Konstanz’s cult pub is moving to tischlein right now, and the new website is still a draft. Before, it was a single page of picture tiles. Now every night of the Destille week is a recurring event with its own page, a calendar entry and structured data for Google.

  • Destille Cult pub in Konstanz

Open until 2 or 3 am, and the top of the home page shows live whether it’s open right now. Below it, “This week at Destille” with the nights of the current week.

  • Pub in Konstanz Landing page

A page of its own for people searching for a pub in Konstanz, with opening hours, the weekly programme and answers to the most common questions.

Destille week
  1. Mon Kölsch night
  2. Tue Tonic Tuesday
  3. Wed Mexican night
  4. Thu Long drink night
  5. Fri Bottle night
  6. Sat Pitcher night
  7. Sun Cocktail night

Destille’s theme nights as they appear in the draft of the new website: each one a recurring event.

Questions from pubs

How quickly is a match on the website?

As quickly as you type the sentence. You see a preview, say “looks good”, and the match is on the home page, in the calendar and available to Google as an event.

We don’t have a food menu at all. Does it still work?

Yes, Destille doesn’t have one either. Your website then consists of opening hours, events, contact details and whatever makes your pub yours. You can add a drinks menu later with a photo.

Do I need time tracking?

In German hospitality you have to record the start, end and duration of working time for mini-jobbers and temps. That is exactly what the time tracking add-on does: clocking in by QR code, warnings about breaks and rest periods, month close with export for DATEV.

Who takes care of the imprint and privacy policy?

tischlein creates the imprint, privacy policy and accessibility statement as templates from your company details. You should still check them yourself.
